Filtering Groups with HAVING

Problem

The VP of Sales is analyzing department sizes and wants to identify large teams for restructuring. She asks you to find all departments that have more than 5 employees. Group the employees by department_id and use the HAVING clause to filter out the small groups.

Table: employees

  • employee_id (INT): Unique identifier for the employee.
  • first_name (VARCHAR): First name of the employee.
  • last_name (VARCHAR): Last name of the employee.
  • salary (INT): Employee's salary.
  • department_id (INT): Foreign key referencing the department.
